Just because a dog is old doesn't

2000 BMW Z3M Roadster: Rescue Mission

I came across this car on Craigslist while I was searching for an E36 M3.  The car had not been taken care of in months and it was a challenge to convince the wife that it still had some life left in it. After some coaxing and negotiating(with my wife), the Roadie was mine. Let me tell you though, the buying situation was sketchy! The seller's brother had a Title Loan on it and they were just going to let the loan company repossess it if no one bought it. Lucky for them, this sucker pulled up in the nick of time! Essentially, I ended up paying the same amount that was due on the loan.
The wheels and tires didn't fit, the rear window had fallen out, the clutch felt like trash, and the gas light was on.... I had my work cut-out for me.
First things first, what is wrong with the clutch? I ordered a braided clutch line from Garagistic and picked it up that evening. After a confusing clutch bleeding process, the clutch was already feeling loads better. Thanks Garagistic.com!

Then was the Valve Cover Gasket, then the seat belt guides, then the radio, then the trans and diff fluid, the rear window, the wheels and tires, a full buff and polish, and of course, the ever-affordable removal of the stuffing inside the factory mufflers. So many things done so far. Enjoy the pictures and let me know if you have any questions. There's a comment box below.
