APRIL 2012 WINNER

Woody's 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS

The Camaro SS.
One of the all time classics for drivers of all ages. The recent revamp of the classic Camaro came around at the beginning of 2009 with the long awaited for "5th" Gen. This revamp brought along a superb blend of old school looks and new school technology. With the SS's L99 motor highly based on the LS3, the Camaro is capable of some huge numbers right off the showroom floor. With the new school technology playing its role, the  Camaro SS is capable of achieving 16city/25highway MPG figures while still being capable of unleashing 400+ Horsepower at the stomp of a pedal if the driver so desires.

The good thing about this Camaro, the owner actually does like to unleash those 400 horses. Though it usually carries one or two people, it can still be used a baby hauler if necessary because it has back seats. That alone makes this car so much more practical than a Corvette. Sure you might be sacrificing a small fraction of the performance, but you are gaining so much in terms of comfort, practicality, and stealthiness. When you ride in this car, the quiet force of the engine leaves you almost needing more sound and feedback from the car. The Exhaust is quiet, the intake is quiet, and with the windows up, it would be hard to tell if you were in the Camaro or a Cadillac.

That's why Woody is wanting to open up the Exhaust, giving the Camaro that opportunity to roar like it seems as though it so desperately wants to do. Not only that, but I'm guessing the factory intake has a replacement on its way soon enough as well. These two Mods alone have the ability to give the Camaro the personality that automotive enthusiasts around the world are familiar with. Aside from that, there isn't much else that the car needs besides routine maintenance. That's why the new Camaro has become such a huge hit; impressive numbers, reasonable maintenance, and an affordable price tag.
